The current vacancy is for a Driver in Delivery Services, a vital role focused on the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of products while maintaining outstanding customer service. This is a weekday position, Monday through Friday, with a shift starting at 6:30 AM. The hourly pay ranges from $20 to $23, dependent on experience and compliance with state and local wage regulations. This role demands a candidate who not only prioritizes safety and operational standards but also actively contributes to business growth by identifying sales opportunities and facilitating communication between customers and sales representatives.
In this role, the Driver is responsible for the execution of delivery tasks including package scanning, pickups, and ensuring proof of deliveries are collected and properly documented. The candidate will be expected to maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times, including adherence to uniform standards. A key responsibility is to comply with all safety driving regulations, conduct vehicle inspections, and meet legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role involves loading and unloading products securely to ensure merchandise arrives in excellent condition.
The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of commercial driving experience, preferably with a background in package delivery. Depending on the state of employment, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required, particularly for vehicles exceeding 26,000 pounds or those involved in hazardous materials delivery. The position also values customer service experience, familiarity with equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, and competence in using GPS and digital scanning devices. Candidates must be physically capable of handling significant lifting and repeated climbing in variable weather conditions.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Maintain an accident-free driving record
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Ability to operate delivery and warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with a 6:30 AM start time
- Ability to adhere to all safety driving standards and company protocols
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience with package delivery preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklifts preferred
- Familiarity with loading docks, desktop and bulk deliveries preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Maintain an accident-free driving record with no moving violations over a rolling 36-month period
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required for vehicles exceeding 26,000 lb GVW and Hazmat Delivery
- Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification
- Experience using POD or tablet devices for scanning and GPS routing
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic product knowledge
- Knowledge of power/mobile equipment operation
- Geographical knowledge of delivery areas
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle items up to 200 pounds with team lift and tools
- Ability to operate manual or powered pallet jacks up to 2,500 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, climb repeatedly for extended periods
Job Duties
- Ensure safe, efficient completion of daily delivery tasks including package scanning and delivery or pickup
- Collect required proof of deliveries or pickups and escalate any barriers preventing successful deliveries or pickups
- Meet or exceed all safety and performance standards and maintain a clean professional appearance
- Complete and adhere to all safety driving standards including vehicle inspections and legal requirements
- Load, unload and secure products ensuring customers receive clean and damage free merchandise
- Contribute continuous improvement ideas and suggestions for improved delivery experience
- Actively pursue sales enablement opportunities through lead generation and customer feedback communication
