The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver is crucial to the company’s mission. As a Delivery Driver at US Foods, the individual is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle safely to deliver food products to various customer locations. This includes performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, unloading products efficiently and carefully using equipment such as pallet jacks, two-wheelers, or manual handling, and verifying delivery accuracy with customer signatures. Drivers may also handle payments or collections where applicable and are expected to provide professional customer service to enhance the overall client experience. Physical stamina is essential, with the requirement to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80+ pounds frequently during shifts, as well as working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.

The role demands a valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and a minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery. Familiarity with manual transmissions is preferred and sometimes required depending on location. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and possess the ability to read, communicate, and understand English to comply with safety regulations and effectively interact with customers.
