The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver is crucial to the company’s mission. Drivers not only ensure the safe and timely delivery of food products to customers but also serve as vital representatives of the US Foods brand. This position offers a starting wage of $30.00 per hour, with overtime available after 40 hours each week, reflecting the value US Foods places on its drivers' efforts. As a Delivery Driver at US Foods, the individual is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle safely to deliver food products to various customer locations. This includes performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, unloading products efficiently and carefully using equipment such as pallet jacks, two-wheelers, or manual handling, and verifying delivery accuracy with customer signatures. Drivers may also handle payments or collections where applicable and are expected to provide professional customer service to enhance the overall client experience. Physical stamina is essential, with the requirement to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80+ pounds frequently during shifts, as well as working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.
The role demands a valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and a minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery. Familiarity with manual transmissions is preferred and sometimes required depending on location. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and possess the ability to read, communicate, and understand English to comply with safety regulations and effectively interact with customers.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- must have valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery industry
- registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- ability to read and communicate in English
- ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly during each shift
- comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops
- preferred ability to operate manual transmission

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
