The US Foods Delivery Driver role is a vital part of the company's supply chain, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food products to customers. Delivery Drivers at US Foods earn competitive pay rates, with an expected base rate of $36.65 per hour, reflecting both experience and skill levels. These drivers routinely operate in diverse weather conditions, handle physical loads ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds, and are expected to follow all established safety and transportation guidelines. In this role, Drivers will be responsible for safely handling commercial vehicles equipped for food delivery, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all equipment meets safety standards. Drivers must be adept at unloading products using appropriate tools such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks and ensure deliveries are placed in designated customer storage areas. Attention to detail is critical as Drivers verify delivery accuracy and obtain proper customer signatures. Some positions may require handling payments or collections, emphasizing the need for trustworthy and professional conduct. US Foods emphasizes compliance with regulations, including registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and requires valid CDL Class A licenses with necessary endorsements. This role demands clear communication skills, the ability to read and respond to highway signs, and the capacity to complete reports accurately. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
