The role of a Propane Delivery Driver at Dassel's Propane is critical to the company's operations and customer service excellence. This position involves loading, securing, transporting, delivering, and unloading propane products safely while adhering to all relevant federal, state, Department of Transportation (DOT), and company safety regulations. Drivers are expected to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, ensuring that each delivery meets high standards of service. Drivers also work closely with the service and dispatch teams, supporting overall operational goals and participating in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work when necessary. Job Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- driving record that meets company insurance requirements
- ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather conditions
- willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required
- commitment to following safety procedures without exception
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- driving record that meets company insurance requirements
- ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather conditions
- willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required
- commitment to following safety procedures without exception
- previous truck driving or propane delivery experience
- comfort using basic computer systems for logging, inspections, and documentation
- experience working directly with residential or commercial customers
- familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance standards
Job Duties
- Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely
- maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements
- complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day
- inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly
- provide professional, courteous service at every customer location
- work collaboratively with service and dispatch teams to support operational goals
- participate in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work as business needs require
