With a strong business-to-business distribution network and an omnichannel presence, The ODP Group supports a wide range of customers through dedicated sales professionals, online platforms, and a comprehensive retail network including Office Depot and OfficeMax stores. This extensive infrastructure allows the company to efficiently deliver business supplies and solutions with exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The company is deeply committed to maintaining safety and health within its work environment, ensuring that all employees adhere to strict operational safety standards and promote a culture of safety.
The Delivery Driver role at The ODP Group is essential to the logistics and customer service functions of the business. This position is responsible for delivering customer orders in a timely, efficient, and customer-oriented manner, upholding the company's standards for quality and operational proficiency. The Delivery Driver must demonstrate expertise in delivery-related tasks such as managing multiple delivery routes, understanding delivery processes, and training new associates in delivery functions. Their duties extend beyond driving; they are responsible for handling the vehicle and its contents securely, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading merchandise carefully to prevent damage, and ensuring that all deliveries meet established goals for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
In addition to day-to-day delivery tasks, the Delivery Driver plays a critical role in documenting route information, completing necessary paperwork, and communicating any operational obstacles or customer feedback to supervisory and sales teams. The position also actively supports continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas that enhance delivery processes through LEAN practices, reflecting The ODP Group's commitment to operational excellence.
This role requires a high level of physical stamina and the ability to work under various weather conditions, as well as meeting physical demands such as lifting and carrying heavy loads, climbing in and out of delivery vehicles, and using manual pallet jacks. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and have the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification. The company highly values experience with delivery driving, familiarity with powered equipment, and proficiency in using technology such as scanners and GIS devices to track deliveries.
The Delivery Driver position is offered with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $30.00, depending on location and compliance with state and local minimum wage laws. Alongside a competitive salary, The ODP Group offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan and other employee benefits, with ample opportunities for career advancement within the organization. The company fosters an inclusive workplace and provides equal employment opportunities regardless of personal characteristics or backgrounds. Applicants who are ready to join a company known for commitment to customer service, operational efficiency, and employee safety are encouraged to apply for this rewarding and dynamic role.
