The role of a US Foods Driver is pivotal to the company’s ability to deliver high-quality products to customers reliably and efficiently. This position offers a flexible 4 or 5 day workweek schedule with dispatch times varying between late night and early morning hours, catering to different route needs. Drivers are responsible not only for transporting food safely but also for ensuring accurate deliveries, managing customer interactions professionally, and maintaining all necessary safety and vehicle inspection standards. The expected base rate for this role ranges from $39.50 to $43.50 per hour, with additional compensation for overtime when applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must have valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull 20 to 80+ lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
