Job Description

Graybar is a leading distributor specializing in electrical, communications, and data networking products, recognized for its employee-owned business model and commitment to excellence. With a rich history spanning over a century, Graybar has established itself as a trusted partner to contractors, industrial companies, and commercial businesses across North America. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture where employees are valued as the heart and soul of the organization. Diversity and innovation are cornerstones at Graybar, creating an environment where employees from various backgrounds contribute unique perspectives and help drive the company’s success in a constantly evolving marketplace.

As a Delivery Driver at Graybar, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering products in a timely and professional manner. This is more than just a job—it is an opportunity to build a rewarding career within a company that values your contribution and offers extensive benefits and growth opportunities. The role is structured for individuals who seek a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule with the valuable advantage of being home every night. Starting pay for this position is $20.00 per hour, reflecting Graybar's commitment to fair compensation.

In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating a Graybar truck or van to deliver orders directly to customers. You will manage local routes, avoiding overnight or weekend travel, which allows for a good work-life balance. Your primary duties will include determining the most efficient delivery routes to exceed customer expectations, loading and unloading trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, inspecting vehicles and supplies to ensure safety, and maintaining accurate truck logs. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will serve as Graybar’s face to its clients, promoting products and services and relaying any customer feedback internally to improve service.

Graybar supports its delivery drivers through a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time employees enjoy three weeks of vacation during the first year, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability benefits, profit sharing, and a 401(k) savings plan. The company also offers flexible spending accounts, paid sick days, holidays, and an employee recognition program. Being part of an employee-owned company means you have a voice and a stake in the company’s future. The organization is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture where all employees feel a sense of belonging, ownership, and respect. Joining Graybar means being part of a united team moving forward together while honoring the unique contributions each individual brings to the table. This is your chance to find out what’s next for you in a stable, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.
