Job Description

Horizon Delivery Squad is a locally owned and operated Delivery Service Partner (DSP) affiliated with Amazon, specializing in efficient and reliable package delivery within the Orange, Connecticut community and surrounding areas. As a key provider of last-mile delivery solutions, the company is committed to upholding the highest standards of customer service, ensuring that every package reaches its destination on time, safely, and with a friendly attitude. Founded and managed by industry professionals with over 20 years of experience, Horizon Delivery Squad combines local knowledge with Amazon's extensive logistics network to deliver an exceptional delivery experience.

Horizon Delivery Squad is currently hiring full-time Delivery Driver Associates who thrive in high-energy, fast-paced environments. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy being out on the road and take pride in providing excellent customer service. No previous delivery driving experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for new entrants into the delivery industry seeking career growth and steady employment. Drivers will operate non-commercial delivery cargo vans supplied by the company and carry out delivery routes mapped to roughly 10 hours daily, with shifts extending up to 12 hours and 4-5 working days weekly.

As a Delivery Driver Associate with Horizon Delivery Squad, you will be the face of the company to customers. Your primary responsibility is to ensure all packages, typically ranging from 170 to 350 per day, are delivered accurately, on time, and with care. This involves safely operating company vehicles, performing regular safety inspections, loading and unloading packages, and managing physical demands such as lifting packages up to 50 pounds and navigating stairs or driveways. The job requires excellent communication skills, as drivers use smartphone-based technology for GPS navigation, package scanning, timekeeping, and team communication.

The company values reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability to navigate the day-to-day challenges of delivery work. Horizon Delivery Squad also emphasizes a supportive team environment where members assist each other, including participation in rescue calls to support teammates who may face difficulties with their routes. Safety and training are top priorities, with the company providing paid training, uniforms, handheld devices, and all safety and administrative necessary equipment.

Compensation starts at $22 per hour with opportunities for merit-based increases and performance bonuses for high performers. Additional benefits include 401(k) matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a flexible schedule, supplemental pay types, and an education allowance. Horizon Delivery Squad is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusiveness, considering all qualified applicants regardless of age, national origin, race, color, disability, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.
