The role of a US Foods Driver is crucial in ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers while representing the company’s reputation for reliability and outstanding customer service. As a driver at US Foods, you will be entrusted with safely operating commercial vehicles, managing deliveries, and maintaining clear communication with customers to verify order accuracy and obtain signatures. This position operates within a dispatch schedule of 4 or 5 day workweeks, with dispatch times generally occurring between 9pm-1am and 2am-5am. The expected base pay rate ranges from $39.50 to $43.50 per hour, along with opportunities for paid overtime compensation, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding employee efforts.

This role requires physical stamina, as it involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling loads ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds multiple times per shift. Drivers must also be comfortable working in various weather conditions and making frequent stops during their route. Candidates must meet strict requirements including registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, possessing a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements, and having a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience or three months in the food and beverage delivery industry. The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is essential to perform necessary tasks such as following traffic regulations, responding to inquiries, and completing delivery documentation accurately.
