The role of a US Foods CDL A Delivery Truck Driver is critical to maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability and exceptional customer service. This position comes with a starting pay of $33.62 per hour and includes a $15,000 retention bonus paid out over two years. Delivery Truck Drivers at US Foods are responsible for transporting a variety of products, including meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to customer locations on scheduled routes. Drivers primarily operate local routes, allowing them to return home every night, with work shifts beginning between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

This role requires dedication to safe operations, timely deliveries, and excellent customer interactions. Drivers are expected to unload products using a hand truck, perform repeated heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds, and navigate various weather conditions. The position demands physical endurance and attention to detail, ensuring all deliveries are verified with customers to guarantee satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
  • no more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations
  • no DUI convictions in the past three years
  • no driver's license suspensions in the past three years
  • minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required
  • must be able to pass DOT physical
