The role of a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver at US Foods is a critical position responsible for safely delivering food products to various customers. Drivers start with a competitive training base pay of $33.43 per hour. After training, compensation changes to a component pay system based on miles driven, cases delivered, and stops made, with hourly pay provided for any downtime. Drivers can expect local and layover routes, which are bid according to driver tenure, and operate equipment such as tractors and route trailers assigned based on their length of service.
