The role of the US Foods Driver is critical to the company’s operations, serving as one of the primary faces of the organization while ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to customers. This position is full-time and offers competitive compensation with a base rate expected to be between $27.02 and $31.79 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, and location. In addition to the base pay, the role includes overtime compensation where applicable. As a US Foods Driver, your responsibilities will include safely operating trucks to meet scheduled delivery times, carefully unloading products using equipment such as pallet jacks or by hand, verifying delivery accuracy with customers, and obtaining signatures to confirm receipt. You will also handle collections and payments when applicable and provide professional customer service to maintain strong client relationships. Attention to safety is paramount, with all drivers required to perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety. The physical demands of this role require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy products ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift, and comfort working in various weather conditions with multiple stops per route.

This role requires candidates to be at least 21 years old, possess a valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements, and meet DOT qualifications. Experience requirements include a minimum of six months of commercial driving in any industry or at least three months of experience in the food or beverage delivery sector. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred and may be required depending on location. Proficiency in English is essential to effectively communicate during deliveries, understand traffic signs and official inquiries, and complete necessary documentation.

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
