The US Foods Driver role is essential to the company's supply chain operations, directly impacting service quality and customer satisfaction. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting food products to various customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times and maintaining accuracy in deliveries. They perform duties such as unloading products with the use of equipment like pallet jacks or manually, obtaining proper signatures for deliveries, handling customer payments when required, and conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Drivers also serve as crucial customer service representatives, fostering positive relationships with clients through professionalism and reliability. Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds frequently throughout the shift and comfort operating in diverse weather conditions with frequent stops.

Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is mandatory as per Department of Transportation regulations, ensuring compliance with drug and alcohol program protocols. The ability to read, understand, and communicate in English is essential for safety and documentation purposes. Preference is given to those who can operate a manual transmission, though this may vary by location. Working at US Foods offers not only competitive pay and benefits but also the chance to be part of a respected company with strong core values, emphasizing integrity, reliability, and community impact. Drivers at US Foods are valued team members who contribute significantly to the company’s success and the satisfaction of its customers. This position provides an opportunity for career growth and a supportive work environment where employees are recognized and rewarded for their dedication.
