Job Description

Staples is a well-established leader in the office supply and business solutions industry, known for its commitment to innovation, customer service, and community impact. With a nationwide network that includes distribution centers, fulfillment hubs, and professional installation teams, Staples continuously strives to provide smart and efficient ways to meet the needs of its customers. The company’s Supply Chain team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of products and services, combining the use of advanced technology with the dedication of its employees to create a safety-focused and collaborative work environment. Staples values its employees and fosters a culture where people are central to every decision, enabling the company to drive positive results for its customers and the community alike.

The Delivery Driver role at Staples is a critical position within the Supply Chain team, offering a weekday schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This full-time position provides competitive pay ranging from $24.75 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience, along with opportunities to earn additional compensation through safety program incentives. The driver will be responsible for transporting office supplies and other products safely to customers along assigned routes. In addition to delivery duties, the role occasionally requires loading the truck during times of high volume. Safety is the utmost priority in this role, and the successful candidate will be expected to uphold and promote safe work practices at all times.

Staples’ Delivery Drivers are entrusted with the responsibility of managing their delivery routes efficiently by organizing and loading products according to the delivery manifest for maximum route optimization. Beyond logistics, drivers act as problem solvers and brand ambassadors for Staples, providing excellent customer service by responding to customer needs, accepting returns, and creating positive experiences during each interaction. A strong ability to navigate various weather and road conditions safely, make sound decisions in driving and customer engagement scenarios, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety inspections are key components of success in this role.

Drivers must also be comfortable using technology such as GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices to enhance route tracking and delivery accuracy. The role demands physical strength for lifting up to 70 pounds and pushing or pulling items weighing up to 400 pounds with assistance from material handling equipment. Staples supports its drivers with work shoes after 30 days of employment and offers a comprehensive benefits program that includes paid time off, holiday pay, health and wellness programs, and more. Staples embraces diversity and inclusion in its workforce, offering associate-led Business Resource Groups that foster a supportive and collaborative culture.

By joining Staples as a Delivery Driver, you become an essential part of a team dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art products and outstanding service in a fun, safe, and dynamic work environment. Staples is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. This position is ideal for candidates who are reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused, eager to contribute to a company that values innovation and community impact while building a rewarding career in supply chain logistics.
