The Delivery Driver role at LKQ Corporation is an essential position responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule during the first shift and offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.00. The driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely, physically loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying shipments, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate documentation during the delivery process. This role involves direct interaction with customers and requires excellent customer service skills, a focus on safety compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of the LKQ team. The Delivery Driver contributes directly to customer satisfaction and overall operational success by maintaining the integrity of delivered products and adhering to all company policies and safety standards. This position, while not having supervisory responsibilities, plays a vital role in representing LKQ's commitment to quality and reliability on the road.

Job Requirements

- 1+ years of experience required
- Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Must qualify for corporate insurance programs including vehicle insurance
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months related delivery driving experience preferred
- Prior warehouse operations experience preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills
- May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures
- Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area

Job Duties
- Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents
- Physically load company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made
- Drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location
- Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location
- Collect accounts receivable, as necessary
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Successful completion of annual training as assigned
- Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery or pick up of products
- Assume other duties as assigned
