This role offers a regular, full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary range of $24 to $29 per hour, dependent on experience. The position falls under the supervision of the Yard/Logistics Supervisor and involves a variety of important responsibilities centered around driving and delivering the company’s product lines safely and efficiently. The primary function of the role is to operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) and forklift equipment to pick up and deliver concrete masonry products to job sites, stores, yards, and dealerships. The Driver is also accountable for securing loads using ropes, straps, brick boards, and tarps to ensure safe transport. Alongside transport duties, the driver assists with loading and unloading materials, performs regular vehicle inspections, maintains work areas according to company standards, and completes necessary paperwork such as logbooks and delivery reports.
This position demands adherence to all safety regulations set forth by both the company and governmental agencies, emphasizing the importance of a safe working environment. The employee must demonstrate regular attendance, quality checks of products, and compliance with company standards. Job Duties
- Fill out logbooks, worksheets, and reports
- operate commercial motor vehicles and Princeton Piggyback forklifts safely and efficiently
- secure loads with ropes, straps, brick boards, and tarps
- determine types of equipment to be used for jobs
- load and unload stone pavers, walls, and associated supplies at job sites or dealerships
- complete required documentation related to material deliveries or pickups
- load and unload trucks by hand stacking or forklift
- transport products to customers, stores, yards, and jobsites
- check all products for quality issues
- maintain and fuel trucks and perform equipment inspections
- maintain work area according to company standards for cleanliness
- abide by all safety rules and report hazardous conditions
- perform other duties assigned by company or representatives
- ensure predictable and regular attendance
