This well-established organization prides itself on its dedication to supporting its workforce through competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Joining US Foods as a driver offers a valuable career path within a company that values reliability, safety, and professionalism. The driver role is crucial, as drivers serve as the face of the company when interacting with customers and represent the organization's commitment to service excellence. This position is structured as a full-time role with 4 or 5-day workweeks, where shift schedules vary depending on operational needs. Dispatch times are typically between 9 pm to 1 am or 2 am to 5 am, providing a night-shift work environment. Hourly pay ranges from $39.50 to $43.50, and the role includes the opportunity for paid overtime.

The US Foods driver is responsible for safely delivering products to customers and ensuring that deliveries are accurate, timely, and handled with care. Drivers use various tools such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks to unload products, and they maintain communication with customers to confirm orders and obtain necessary signatures. The job requires strong physical stamina due to repetitive lifting and moving of heavy items, sometimes between 20 to over 80 pounds, in different weather conditions with frequent stops. Aside from driving and delivery duties, professional customer service skills are essential to enhance the overall client experience. Drivers also conduct mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

This role demands candidates to hold a valid Class A CDL with the necessary endorsements and pass Department of Transportation qualifications. Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a legal requirement to monitor drug and alcohol program violations, ensuring adherence to federal safety standards. Experience requirements include at least six months of commercial driving or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery. While manual transmission driving skills are preferred and sometimes necessary based on location, reading and communication skills in English are mandatory to understand traffic signs, engage in conversations, and complete required documentation.

US Foods focuses not only on delivering high-quality products but also on fostering a positive work environment with excellent leadership, employee rewards, and recognition programs.
