The role of US Foods Driver is an essential position within the company, responsible for delivering food products safely and efficiently to customers while maintaining excellent customer service. Drivers typically work 4 or 5-day workweeks with dispatch times ranging between 9pm-1am and 2am-5am depending on operational needs. The expected base pay for this role ranges from $39.50 to $43.50 per hour, with additional compensation for overtime where applicable. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A license with all necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
