Job Description

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet division, renowned for delivering critical lifesaving medical products directly to customers across the United States. The company operates more than 50 distribution centers nationwide and boasts a fleet of over 1,900 modern trucks. MedTrans is a vital component of Medline's supply chain, emphasizing safety, professionalism, and customer service within its operations. As a Delivery Driver within the MedTrans fleet, you would be entrusted with the delivery of medical supplies using either parcel vans or straight trucks on local routes, serving a variety of commercial and residential customers. This role is integral to upholding Medline's promise of timely, accurate, and safe delivery of products that save lives. Emphasizing safety compliance, customer interaction, and efficient route management, the Delivery Driver receives comprehensive training and support to perform their duties effectively. Job Requirements

  • Valid US driver's license
  • Valid Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) for Class B License if required by state
  • Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations
  • Ability to safely operate parcel vans and/or straight trucks
  • Willingness to comply with Medline's safety regulations and policies
  • Good communication skills for customer interaction and coordination with dispatch team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant work experience
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations

Job Duties

  • Load and secure product from the Medline facility into a parcel van and/or straight truck
  • Safely operate a parcel van and/or straight truck between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route
  • Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed and performing safety checks
  • Unload and deliver products at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries
  • Provide in-person support to the customer by addressing questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery
  • Communicate with dispatching team regarding adjustments to delivery route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safety
  • Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy
  • Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued use
