Delivery Drivers at US Foods play a crucial role as the face of the organization, responsible for safely delivering products to customers and ensuring excellent customer service. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $37.00 an hour with an additional $5,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires, emphasizing the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.

Drivers work a Monday through Friday schedule with early morning dispatch hours from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM. When newly hired, drivers may initially be placed on call. The job requires not only safe driving but also physically handling deliveries, including unloading products using equipment such as two-wheelers or pallet jacks. Drivers verify delivery accuracy with customers, obtain proper signatures, handle collections/payments, and maintain thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly during the shift, as drivers make frequent stops in various weather conditions. Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
