The company fosters a supportive work environment where growth opportunities abound, making it an attractive choice for individuals seeking stable and rewarding employment. LKQ emphasizes the value of its employees, offering competitive benefits and comprehensive training programs to ensure the success and satisfaction of its team members.
This job opportunity is for a Delivery Driver role with LKQ Corporation, offering a competitive wage of $21 per hour on a full-time basis with a Monday through Friday schedule on the 1st shift. The primary responsibility of the Delivery Driver is to safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products directly to customers. This role requires physically loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying the inventory of parts delivered and returned, collecting payments, and securing signatures from receiving locations to confirm order accuracy. Attention to detail, safety, and customer service are fundamental aspects of this position.
The Delivery Driver role is crucial to maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding LKQ Corporation's standards for reliable product delivery. Candidates will need to be well-versed in driving safely and courteously to avoid traffic violations or accidents. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to handle loading duties, requiring the ability to lift heavy items, sometimes up to 75 pounds. Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as well as Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards is mandatory, along with the completion of annual training requirements.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing documentation such as manifests and receipts, accurately noting product returns, and collecting accounts receivable when necessary. This position does not entail supervisory duties but requires excellent communication skills to provide quality customer service during deliveries and pick-ups. Given the occasional exposure to hazardous work environments, the candidate must be safety-conscious and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
LKQ Corporation values continuous employee development and offers various benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, fertility coverage, and a 401k plan with a generous company match. This role provides a stable career path and the chance to be part of a driven and positive work environment. Individuals with at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to meet DOT physical and testing standards are encouraged to apply and join the LKQ family for a fulfilling driving career.
