In addition to delivering delicious sandwiches to customers, Delivery Drivers also contribute to the overall restaurant operations. This includes assisting with order taking, sandwich making, food preparation, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store. Jimmy John's offers competitive pay starting at $10.50 per hour with a guaranteed $0.50 raise after successful completion of driver training and 90 days of employment. Top-performing Delivery Drivers, referred to as Rockstar Delivery Drivers, may earn an average of $25 per hour or more, including tips and daily mileage reimbursements paid each day. Candidates must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proof of insurance and at least two years of licensed driving experience are required. Applicants must also agree to a motor vehicle records screening, which will determine eligibility for a delivery position. Flexibility in work schedule is valued, and although open availability is a plus, Jimmy John's accepts all types of availability. Physical demands such as lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, standing, bending, and working in cold environments like walk-in refrigerators and freezers are part of the job.
