The Delivery Driver role at MedTrans is a crucial position that supports the company's mission to provide high-quality, timely delivery of essential medical supplies. Delivery Drivers operate parcel vans and/or straight trucks, transporting medical products safely from Medline facilities to various local customer locations. This role demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, as drivers serve as key representatives of Medline to customers. They are responsible not only for the precise and secure transport of products but also for fostering positive customer relations through clear communication and exceptional service.

Job Requirements

  • Valid US driver's license
  • Valid Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) for Class B license if required by state
  • Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations

  • Relevant work experience in delivery or logistics
  • Valid US driver's license

Job Duties

  • Load and secure product from the Medline facility into a parcel van and/or straight truck
  • Safely operate a parcel van and/or straight truck between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route
  • Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed and performing safety checks
  • Unload and deliver products at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries
  • Provide in-person support to customers by addressing their questions, needs, and delivering appropriate documentation
  • Communicate with the dispatching team regarding route or schedule adjustments to meet customer needs and ensure safe operations
  • Maintain travel and cargo logs in compliance with Federal and State regulations and company policies
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel levels
