In this essential position, the Delivery Truck Driver will be a vital member of the US Foods team, upholding the company’s pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaboration, and exceptional service. The driver will be responsible for delivering a variety of products, including meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies directly to customers' designated drop-off locations. The role offers local routes allowing drivers to be home every night, with a Monday to Friday schedule starting early in the morning at 5:30 am and continuing until deliveries are completed. Drivers are expected to deliver best-in-class customer service, ensuring orders are accurately delivered on time to maintain productivity levels. Additionally, the job involves physical labor such as unloading products using hand trucks, handling repeated heavy lifting of items weighing up to 80 pounds, and working in various weather conditions. Drivers must be comfortable making frequent stops during their shifts and possess the ability to verify deliveries and handle customer payments when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have valid CDL A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualified
  • minimum six months commercial truck driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage truck delivery experience
