The position pays $32.06 per hour, with the possibility of earning overtime based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule. US Foods offers a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, life insurance, and a strong safety culture. These benefits underscore the company’s commitment to the well-being and growth of its employees. The role invites candidates who can meet physical demands such as lifting and moving products weighing 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly and who can operate delivery equipment like two-wheelers and pallet jacks efficiently and safely.
Successful Delivery Drivers at US Foods are expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles, ensure the accurate and on-time delivery of products, verify delivery accuracy with customers, collect payments when needed, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance client relationships. Knowledge of FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations are mandatory. Drivers must possess a valid CDL Class A license with all necessary endorsements and minimum commercial driving experience. The ability to communicate effectively in English and handle challenging weather and traffic situations is also essential.
