When there are no scheduled deliveries, drivers support the restaurant by serving as an In Shopper, assisting with order preparation and customer service within the store. This dual function is vital to maintaining operational efficiency and meeting customer demands both onsite and in delivery.

The Delivery Driver is expected to perform fast and accurate sandwich assembly while adhering strictly to portion sizes, recipes, and systems designed for consistency across locations. The ability to pass certified sandwich tests within the initial two weeks of employment, and during subsequent evaluations, is essential for maintaining product standards. In addition to food preparation and delivery duties, the driver must contribute to keeping the restaurant clean and sanitary—this includes tables, floors, windows, beverage stations, and restrooms.

Professional appearance, compliance with dress codes, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards all assignments are keys to success in this role. Strong communication skills are required as the position involves taking orders both over the phone and in person, along with operating cash registers and handling customer payments correctly. Drivers must be fluent in English to communicate effectively with customers and management. Physical agility is also important, as the job requires standing, walking, timely lifting, reaching, and occasional bending or climbing.
