This position is for a delivery driver who plays a critical role in the food supply chain by ensuring timely delivery of food and related products to various customers. The role involves operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight assignments. Drivers are responsible not only for delivering products safely and on time but also for representing the company's brand by building and maintaining customer relationships. The position requires adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety guidelines, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and managing delivery paperwork with accuracy. Drivers must be experienced in handling and securing freight, utilizing equipment like lift gates and two-wheelers to move goods, and maintaining cleanliness and proper documentation throughout their shifts.
The position offers competitive pay at $22 per hour with a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, beginning in the early morning with shifts that may extend beyond 12 hours depending on delivery demands. The role requires a valid CDL B license with airbrakes endorsement and compliance with all state licensing and certification standards. Job Requirements
- 12+ months commercial driving experience
- high school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
- valid CDL B with airbrakes endorsement
- meet all state licensing or certification requirements where applicable
- must be 21 years of age

- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card

Job Duties
- performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- immediately reports all safety hazards
- inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of loaded products
- checks and completes all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- drives and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- verifies delivery with customer and obtains proper signatures
- collects money where required
- loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
- unloads equipment, materials and removes trash from trailers as required
- completes daily record of hours of service and logs in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- performs general housekeeping duties and keeps trailers clear and clean
- secures all equipment and completes paperwork at end of shift
- performs other related duties as assigned
