Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in delivery or catering preferred but not required
- must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
- physically able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- reliable transportation to and from Morton Grove facility
- willingness to pass necessary background and driving record checks
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- fluent in English
- valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a driving record check
- comfortable lifting and moving items up to 40 pounds regularly
- willingness to obtain Food Handler Certification or already possess one
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to stay organized and professional in a fast-paced environment
- flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Job Duties
- deliver catering orders safely and on time throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs
- set up food displays, catering equipment, and service areas according to company standards
- serve as a professional representative of Catering by Michaels while interacting with clients, venue staff, and guests
- maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, equipment, and work areas
- follow food safety, sanitation, and transportation standards at all times
- assist with loading and unloading food, beverages, rentals, and catering equipment
- support kitchen and operations teams during high-volume production periods and holidays
- participate in vehicle inspections and maintain a safe driving record
