Hy-Vee is currently seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join its Grocery Department. This is a non-exempt, hourly position that plays a key role in ensuring courteous, efficient service by delivering groceries and other products directly to customers. Drivers handle payment collection and change issuance at point of delivery, adhering strictly to company financial procedures. Maintaining food safety by keeping products at proper temperatures during transport is a critical responsibility, ensuring consistent quality and customer trust. Drivers must adhere to Hy-Vee’s policies regarding personal hygiene, dress code, and work attendance.

Physical demands are moderate to heavy, requiring the ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, frequent walking and standing, and the capability to enter and exit delivery vehicles repeatedly throughout the day. The role often includes working under conditions involving noise, dust, temperature variability, and time-sensitive delivery schedules. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and safety procedures is also important since delivery vehicles must be kept clean and functional.
