The Delivery Driver position at Dillanos Coffee Roasters is a crucial role focused on ensuring the safe and timely delivery of coffee and related products to various coffee stands and cafes. Beginning routes as early as 5am, the driver must be prepared for variable schedules and proactive communication with supervisors and co-workers. Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years old or older
  • must have an acceptable driving record, as well as be insurable to operate company vehicles
  • must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check
  • 2+ years of experience driving large box trucks and customer service preferred

  • good judgment, discretion, and the ability to make independent decisions
  • excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • basic knowledge in related PC software (Office, Excel, etc.)
  • proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • safely perform proper lifting techniques
  • 2+ years of experience driving large box trucks and customer service preferred

Job Duties

  • clock in on time and be prepared to accomplish any route
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per delivery manual
  • ensure route is done efficiently and accurately
  • routes on the road by 5am
  • route times may vary based on destination and may require an earlier start time
  • provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • maintain a high level of personal appearance and positive attitude
  • account for all deliveries, product, coffee, and equipment on vehicle/route
  • perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment
  • always communicate issues on and off route with delivery supervisor, delivery lead, and co-workers
  • deliver to all stands and all customers, regardless of who the customer is, where they are located, or the attire they wear
  • delivery driver must possess the ability to move with a sense of purpose and perform duties in a timely matter
  • be proactive in all aspects of the delivery position
