Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance
- Meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirements
- Comply with state, local, DOT, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
- Have at least one year of delivery driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Capable of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods
- Willingness to work in potentially hazardous conditions and wear personal protective equipment as required
- Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stays
- Preferred but not required: High school diploma or GED
- Six months related delivery driving experience
- Prior warehouse operations experience
Job Qualifications
- No degree required
- At least one year of experience in delivery driving or related fields
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations and requirements
- Ability to use basic office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Capability to communicate basic messages orally and maintain simple records
- Ability to follow clear directions and routine procedures
- Reliable and attentive to safety guidelines and company policies
Job Duties
- Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents
- Physically load company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made
- Drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location
- Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location
- Collect accounts receivable, as necessary
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Successful completion of annual training as assigned
- Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pick up of products
- Assume other duties as assigned
