We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our sales team at LKQ Corporation. This role focuses primarily on selling the company’s products by soliciting new prospects and persuading existing customers to expand their purchases or try new products. Sales representatives not only engage in customer relationship management but also provide delivery and installation services along their designated routes or territories. This position requires a balance of sales expertise, customer service skills, and operational responsibilities such as safe vehicle operation and accurate product delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive in building strong customer relationships, knowledgeable about the company’s product offerings, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and safety.
In addition to sales, this role involves independently managing daily routes to ensure timely delivery and installation of products, verifying deliveries, and handling customer signatures to confirm order accuracy. It demands adherence to various safety regulations, including compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules, and company policies designed to protect assets and promote a secure and productive work environment. Sales personnel will attend regular training to improve sales techniques and keep updated on products and company policies. This position offers a dynamic workday that blends customer interaction with logistical tasks, suited for energetic individuals who thrive in an independent and results-driven environment.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, previous sales experience, and at least six months of driving or delivery experience. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the company’s insurance programs. Preferred qualifications include two or more years of sales experience and some college coursework related to business. Candidates are expected to possess strong communication skills, proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Physical demands include the ability to sit and drive for extended periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and occasional use of personal protective equipment. Job Duties
- Solicit new and existing customers on a daily basis and promote and sell the company’s products to customers
- Develop relationships with and provide service to existing customers that insures customer retention and customer loyalty
- Identify potential new customers and solicit business from the same
- Be familiar with the company’s product literature and be able to convey product information and availability to customers to insure the growth of both revenue and the number of customers along route and/or within territory
- Attend regular sales training meetings to review sales performance and to discuss sales goals and ways to improve sales performance
- Provide exemplary customer service
- Operate company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner with a valid driver’s license
- Deliver/install products to/for customers along route and/or within territory - Verify parts delivered/installed to/for customers and obtain signature of customer confirming accuracy compared to the work order
- Protect company assets by diligently performing all duties in a safe manner, including safely handling products delivered and payments collected
- Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the federal motor carrier safety administration
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product
- Take responsibility for your personal safety and watch out for the safety of others. Use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies
- Assume other duties as assigned
