It is committed to improving the cost-effectiveness of healthcare and medical services by providing pharmaceuticals and medical products to various healthcare providers. The company is recognized for its innovation and comprehensive solutions in the pharmacy services sector, focusing on efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. Cardinal Health operates in multiple domains, including pharmaceutical distribution, nuclear pharmacy, and medical product manufacturing. Their dedication to advancing healthcare makes it an industry leader and a preferred employer for individuals looking to build a meaningful career in healthcare logistics and pharmacy services.
The role offered is a Delivery Driver Pharmacy Associate position within the Nuclear Pharmacy division of Cardinal Health. This full-time role offers a competitive pay rate of $18.50 per hour and includes a $1000 new hire sign-on bonus. The position involves the safe and prompt delivery of radiopharmaceuticals and other oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory guidelines including State, Federal, and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. The successful candidate will use company vehicles (non-CDL), handheld technology for tracking order accuracy and route navigation, and will be responsible for packaging, testing, and transporting medications securely.
This role requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability as the candidate must be willing to work a 40-hour week primarily Monday through Friday during early hours from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM. However, the candidate must also be prepared to work different schedules, days, or overtime depending on business needs. The job demands physical capability to manage loads up to 75 pounds and to safely operate a vehicle in various weather conditions both day and night. The Delivery Driver Pharmacy Associate will also be expected to perform general vehicle maintenance, minor roadside repairs, and facility cleaning as necessary.
Cardinal Health’s Nuclear Pharmacy services are specialized, requiring attention to detail and adherence to regulated pharmacy and transportation protocols. The role offers a unique opportunity to work within a health-driven setting, directly supporting medical treatment via the efficient, safe delivery of vital medications. Employees in this role contribute significantly to patient care by ensuring medicines arrive safely and on time for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
The company offers a broad range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, health savings accounts, a 401k savings plan, and flexible spending accounts. Additional perks include access to wages before payday through myFlexPay, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, and healthy lifestyle programs. Cardinal Health values diversity and inclusion at the workplace, encouraging applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including veterans and people with disabilities. The company cultivates a supportive environment where employees can thrive and contribute to impactful healthcare solutions with pride and dedication.
