The delivery and warehouse associate at Farmers Furniture plays a vital role in the supply chain and customer service functions of the business. This full-time position involves various hands-on delivery and warehouse duties, including loading and unloading merchandise, preparing trucks for daily deliveries, and driving a delivery truck to customers’ homes or businesses within assigned zones. The role demands adherence to safety standards and effective use of equipment and vehicles to ensure timely and damage-free delivery of products. The associate is responsible for obtaining customer signatures to confirm deliveries, recording deliveries for management review, and assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse and store premises.

This position also requires performing general maintenance on delivery vehicles, monitoring fuel and fluid usage, and aiding in other store departments as needed. Other responsibilities include assembling merchandise, assisting with repossessions, performing customer service inspections, and making collection calls to delinquent customers upon management request.
