Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Valid state driver’s license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must meet Department of Transportation requirements including medical exam and driver qualification
- Physical ability to exert heavy effort including lifting up to and exceeding 100 pounds
- Ability to operate and maintain delivery vehicles
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and mathematical aptitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment preferred
- Valid state driver’s license
- Familiarity with delivery area
- Ability to meet Department of Transportation requirements
- Physical ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 100 pounds
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions and exercise judgment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and company values
Job Duties
- Drive truck in assigned zone or area to deliver products purchased by customers
- Assist delivery truck drivers with directing trucks into unloading areas
- Load truck in preparation for daily deliveries
- Unload merchandise at customer locations and set up as necessary
- Obtain customer signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery
- Record deliveries on delivery records and submit to management
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and conduct general vehicle upkeep
- Unload merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks
- Maintain cleanliness of store and warehouse areas
- Place stock on shelves or racks and set up sales promotion displays
- Assemble merchandise as required
- Assist with repossession of goods
- Perform general maintenance and groundskeeping duties for warehouse and store
- Conduct customer service inspections and repairs as needed
- Perform collection field calls to delinquent customers as directed
- Uphold and promote H.O.M.E. company values
