The role of the CDL A Delivery Truck Driver with US FOODS is vital to the company's operations and customer satisfaction. Based in Jackson, drivers work a schedule running Monday to Friday with an early morning start from 3 to 5 a.m. until deliveries are complete. This position offers a competitive starting wage at $25.55 an hour, with potential earnings up to $30.55 an hour depending on experience and qualifications, along with incentive compensation. Delivery drivers with US FOODS become important representatives of the brand, directly impacting customer relationships by delivering best-in-class service and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders. The deliveries include a diverse range of foodservice items such as fresh meats, produce, frozen goods, and other necessary supplies. Drivers are responsible for maintaining productivity on their routes and ensuring customer satisfaction through dependable and professional service.
As part of the US FOODS team, delivery truck drivers enjoy local routes, which means they are home every night, contributing to a healthy work-life balance. The company requires drivers to be dependable, safety-conscious, and physically capable of manual lifting of up to 80 pounds repeatedly, working through various weather conditions, and performing multiple frequent stops throughout their shifts. Other duties include using hand trucks to efficiently unload products, verifying deliveries with customers, and collecting payments when necessary. US FOODS also requires all drivers to register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse to comply with Department of Transportation regulations regarding drug and alcohol program violations.

- must be at least 21 years of age
- must have valid CDL A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualified
- minimum six months commercial truck driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage truck delivery experience required
