Rooted deeply in the community, Nicholas and Company has earned a reputation as the local choice for foodservice, committed to maintaining strong relationships with customers through professional service and dependable delivery. Their continuous focus on quality products and customer satisfaction has made them a respected name in their field, emphasizing values such as trust, integrity, and community involvement.
The role of Delivery Driver at Nicholas and Company is crucial to ensuring timely and professional delivery of products to customers, directly contributing to the company's profitability and overall customer satisfaction. This full-time position operates Monday through Saturday, starting early in the morning from 3:00 a.m. until the delivery route is completed, offering a competitive pay of $30.00 per hour. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for carefully transporting products along assigned delivery routes, ensuring the correct placement of products at customer-designated delivery areas while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
In this role, the Delivery Driver will be expected to proficiently operate a delivery scanner at each stop to confirm deliveries, collect and properly code all invoices, and manage financial transactions including the collection of funds when applicable. They must navigate delivery routes safely and efficiently, using hand carts or manual handling for transporting products on ramps, stairs, and docks. The position requires strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, and utilizing an electronic log system to track stops and locations.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for this role, as the driver will directly interact with customers and must be able to handle and report any delivery issues promptly. Safety is paramount, so obeying all traffic rules, reporting accidents or vehicle repair needs immediately, and following company procedures are mandatory to maintain the company’s excellent safety record. The Delivery Driver will also be expected to work collaboratively with internal team members and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Nicholas and Company offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to support the health, financial security, and professional growth of their employees. Along with competitive compensation, employees receive generous medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) profit-sharing plan, and a health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions. The company also promotes wellness with premium incentives and supports continued education through a tuition reimbursement program up to $4,000 per calendar year. This supportive and driven work environment recognizes and appreciates the contributions of its employees, creating a culture where results are respected and rewarded.
The successful candidate must be capable of performing essential duties efficiently, accurately, and safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, while adhering to all company policies and federal, state, and safety regulations. This role is ideal for a responsible, detail-oriented individual who values integrity and enjoys working in a dynamic team-oriented setting, committed to delivering excellent service consistently.
