Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a globally recognized leader in cloud computing technology, offering a vast array of cloud-based solutions that empower businesses to innovate and scale rapidly. AWS is renowned for its comprehensive, secure, and highly reliable cloud platform, which serves a multitude of industries—from emerging startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team provides expert consulting to help organizations adopt and optimize AWS cloud services, enabling digital transformation and advanced technology integrations. This team works closely with customers to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that meet evolving business needs and technical challenges.

The AWS Professional Services Database Delivery Consultant role is a vital position within this team, focused on assisting customers to migrate, transform, and optimize their database environments on AWS cloud platforms. This role requires deep expertise in both commercial and open-source database technologies, as well as strong knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure. As a Database Delivery Consultant, you will engage with customers to understand their database challenges and business goals, develop architectural plans, and guide migration projects using AWS services such as AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift. You will design and implement solutions across mission-critical online transaction processing (OLTP), analytics (OLAP), batch processing, and large-scale data warehousing use cases.

Your work will involve close collaboration with AWS engineering and architecture teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for conducting technical workshops, creating proof-of-concept demonstrations, and supporting the entire implementation lifecycle — from initial assessment and design to migration and performance optimization. This role demands strategic thinking about technology and business implications, as well as hands-on experience analyzing and transforming complex on-premises database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server to modern cloud-native databases.

AWS values diverse experiences and promotes an inclusive culture that fosters innovation, learning, and professional growth. As a member of the ProServe team, you will benefit from mentorship, career development opportunities, and the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies in a collaborative global environment. The role may include travel to customer sites, enabling you to establish strong customer relationships and deliver value through expert consulting.

This is a full-time position based in Mountain View, CA, offering a competitive annual salary range of $151,000 to $204,300 USD. The compensation package includes sign-on bonuses, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits such as health insurance (medical, dental, vision), flexible spending accounts, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. AWS is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing workplace accommodations and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.
