The Delivery Driver role at Core-Mark is a critical position within the company's food supply chain operations. This role requires professional individuals who act as the backbone of the food distribution system by ensuring timely, safe, and accurate delivery of food and related products to customers across local routes. The driver begins their shift at 6am from their assigned HUB and typically manages routes Monday through Friday, allowing them to return home daily. The annual salary for this position is competitively set at $85,000, with additional incentives such as a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a monthly performance bonus of up to $500. Delivery Drivers are responsible for handling and transporting between 10,000 to 12,000 pounds of freight per day, using equipment such as hand trucks and dollies to efficiently offload products safely. Responsibilities include comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and company safety policies. The drivers maintain excellent customer relations by acting as the company’s representatives during deliveries and promptly addressing questions or concerns. Other key duties involve verifying invoices, picking up empty totes, securing loads, completing all required paperwork accurately, and adhering strictly to DOT regulations. Drivers also uphold cleanliness and operational standards at all loading docks and trailers and report any safety or equipment issues immediately.
