The role of Delivery Assistant at McLane is a vital, physical, and fast-paced position designed to support Delivery Drivers in ensuring timely and efficient service to customers. The Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting in unloading trailers, handling products and pallets, and positioning delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage zones. This role demands physical stamina as it involves bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, and walking extensively throughout the workday. Although the Delivery Assistant does not operate the delivery vehicle, they serve as a key representative of McLane to the company's customers, requiring professional demeanor and positive customer service skills. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced McLane Delivery Drivers, gaining practical insights into the delivery process and contributing directly to the company’s mission of moving America forward.
