Founded in Texas, Buc-ee's has garnered a loyal following due to its clean facilities, extensive selection of food and retail products, and a unique shopping experience that marries convenience with a welcoming atmosphere. The company is expanding its footprint and is thrilled to announce the opening of a new location in San Marcos, Texas, scheduled for late spring 2026. This expansion represents Buc-ee's dedication to bringing its unparalleled service and products to more customers in thriving communities. Buc-ee's prides itself on its core values of hard work, respect for employees, and fostering a fun and productive work environment. This makes Buc-ee's not just a workplace but a place to grow professionally while making meaningful contributions.
The role of Deli/Food Service Manager at Buc-ee's San Marcos location is vital to ensuring the success of this new establishment. This position offers an impressive salary of $150,000, reflecting the significance and responsibility the company places on this leadership role. The Deli/Food Service Manager will be at the forefront of operations management, overseeing product offerings such as jerky, smoked meats, sausage, BBQ, bakery items, sandwiches, grab-and-go items, tacos, burritos, and hot dogs. The role requires a high-energy individual who can lead by example, manage labor and overtime efficiently, and make sound decisions that maximize operational effectiveness. This person will also play a key role in recruiting, developing, and inspiring a dynamic team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
In addition to management responsibilities, the Deli/Food Service Manager must ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local foodservice regulations and employment laws, safeguarding both product quality and the team’s welfare. Training and onboarding new employees will be part of this role, along with handling daily operational reports and enforcing company policies. By supporting frontline employees during peak times and maintaining professional interactions with team members and customers alike, the manager will foster a positive work environment and customer satisfaction. The work environment is fast-paced and high-volume, ideal for candidates who thrive in challenging, energetic settings.
Employment with Buc-ee's also comes with several valuable benefits and work-life balance options, such as three weeks of paid time off that employees can use, cash out, or roll over, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, and a 401k plan with a 100 percent company match up to 6 percent. The role entails working a rotating schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and both day and night shifts, demanding flexibility and commitment. Buc-ee's is committed to equal employment opportunities and provides a supportive career path with potential for career advancement within the company. Professionals passionate about the food service industry and leadership excellence will find Buc-ee's an excellent place to build their future.
