The Seasonal Deli/Food Service position at Buc-ee's is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, whether they are experienced or new to the industry. Seasonal hires will be engaged in preparing Buc-ee's unique menu items to exact recipes, ensuring that all culinary creations meet company standards and maintaining recipe confidentiality. Employees are expected to maintain clean and organized workstations and safely operate various kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers.
In addition to food preparation, team members will have responsibilities ranging from using menu ordering kiosks and kitchen management systems to providing responsive communication with management and colleagues. The position requires flexibility as employees may need to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities and work on weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Restaurant or retail experience preferred
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of 8 hours or more
- Capability to perform frequent bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching, balancing, pushing, and pulling, including lifting product or material weighing 40 lbs or more
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Restaurant or retail experience preferred
- Experience as kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff a plus
- Ability to quickly learn and operate kitchen equipment and ordering systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Develop culinary skills as you prep bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other restaurant menu items
- Prepare Buc-ee's unique food service menu offerings to prescribed recipes and maintain confidentiality
- Adhere to all company culinary recipes and measurements
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Guarantee safe food handling
- Competent use of various menu ordering kiosks, kitchen management system, and transaction devices
- Maintain a clean workstation while quickly executing orders for customers
- Provide responsive communication with store management and fellow associates
- Safely and effectively use a wide variety of kitchen equipment and appliances including floor mixer, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers
- Professionally interact with team members and customers
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
- Work weekends and holidays as needed
- Work a rotating schedule that may alternate between day and night as needed
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance
- Perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
