The role of Deli/Food Service employee at Buc-ee's San Marcos location is crucial in maintaining the high standards the brand is known for. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Restaurant or retail experience preferred
  • Ability to withstand prolonged walking or standing for eight hours or more
  • Capacity for frequent bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching, balancing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 40 pounds or more

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in restaurant or retail, kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and be flexible with work assignments
  • Knowledge of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other menu items according to prescribed recipes
  • Maintains confidentiality of Buc-ee's unique food service menu
  • Adheres to company culinary recipes and measurements
  • Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Guarantees safe food handling
  • Uses menu ordering kiosks, kitchen management systems, and transaction devices competently
  • Maintains a clean workstation while efficiently executing orders
  • Provides responsive communication with management and associates
  • Safely operates kitchen equipment including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, knives, and fryers
  • Interacts professionally with team members and customers
  • Performs duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
  • Works weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
  • Maintains regular and prompt attendance
  • Performs essential duties with or without accommodation
