Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of related work experience
- ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- must be able to solve arithmetic involving fractions, decimals and percentages
- physical ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- availability to work in a fast-paced environment
- adherence to company policies
- punctuality and reliability
- successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service
- take customer orders at the delicatessen counter
- work with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- review orders for the day
- practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean, neat work area
- review food freshness and ensure adequate food supply
- prepare, finish and replenish products
- check in products, put them away and review invoices
- run department registers and handle payments
- remove trash in a timely manner
- maintain strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- report to work on time as scheduled
