Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day
  • must adhere to food safety standards and procedures
  • willingness to maintain a positive and equitable work environment
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or request an accommodation
  • reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with retail, preferably grocery
  • experience with food preparation, service, and safety
  • experience with customer service
  • barista experience highly preferred
  • ability to safely prepare and serve food of high quality
  • strong communicator
  • creative thinker
  • excellent customer service skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Preparing and closing down the coffee kiosk window for the day's service
  • ensure the customer's checkout experience is friendly and efficient
  • setting and maintaining the coffee and deli area
  • serving coffee and espresso drinks
  • preparing and serving breakfast items and deli sandwiches
  • monitor product and check for expiration
  • ensure products are routinely FIFO-ed and waste is accurately tracked and reported
  • providing an excellent and knowledgeable customer experience
  • demonstrate consistent work attendance
  • knowledge and implementation of safe food handling procedures
  • assist in unloading and stocking merchandise for the deli/butcher team
  • maintaining a positive, equitable work environment for all staff
  • communicate and collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and/or outside contacts in a timely and appropriate manner and in line with our communication code of conduct
