This role as a Grocery Clerk in the Bakery/Deli department is a pivotal position within Fred Meyer, focused on delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming environment for shoppers. Job Duties

  • Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products
  • Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
  • Provide customers with fresh products at correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
  • Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
  • Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines
  • Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions
