The De Pere location maintains the company's commitment to community engagement and quality shopping experiences.
The role of a Deli / Bakery Associate at Walmart Supercenter #5090 involves preparing quality deli and bakery products while ensuring excellent customer service at the service counter. Employment for this role can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules including opening, morning, mid-shift, and closing shifts.
Compensation for the Deli / Bakery Associate position ranges from $16 to $29 per hour, with the actual wage equaling or exceeding the minimum wage required by the job’s location. The compensation package is further enhanced by potential annual or quarterly performance incentives, and additional premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply based on specific circumstances such as schedule, facility, season, or particular work performed. Multiple premiums can be combined if eligibility criteria are met.
Working at Walmart brings a range of benefits aimed at improving the employee experience both on and off the job. The company offers competitive pay along with health benefits that include medical, vision, and dental coverage. Financial benefits extend to 401(k) retirement plans, stock purchase programs, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off is also provided, covering parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting, ensuring associates have support for important life events. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, military leave pay, as well as adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement.
Employees receive paid time off (PTO) or paid personal time off (PPTO) that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other needs; the amount depends on job classification and length of employment and meets or exceeds paid sick leave laws where applicable. Walmart's education benefit program, Live Better U, offers full-time and part-time associates tuition-free access to programs ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates.
Walmart is committed to providing a safe and drug-free work environment. The company maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of illegal drugs and alcohol on the job, promoting safety and productivity for all employees.
