As part of the globally recognized Walmart brand, this Supercenter emphasizes not only customer satisfaction but also employee growth and well-being. Walmart is a leader in retail innovation and community engagement, continuously delivering quality products and services to a diverse customer base. This particular location seeks committed team members to join their dynamic workforce in various roles, including the Deli / Bakery associate position, a crucial part of their fresh food department.
The Deli / Bakery associate role is a part-time position with available shifts during mid-shift and closing hours. Hourly wages for this role range from $16 to $29 per hour, ensuring all employees receive at least the minimum wage required in the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance incentives and premium pay within a range of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work conditions—potentially allowing multiple premiums to be earned concurrently.
The primary objective of the Deli / Bakery associate is to prepare high-quality deli and bakery products for customers, maintaining excellent standards of food safety and cleanliness. Employees also interact directly with customers at the service counter, providing friendly and efficient service to build a positive shopper experience. Associates are responsible for moving incoming merchandise to the sales floor and ensuring that the work environment meets all safety and quality guidelines. This role is central to the continued reputation of Walmart as a go-to destination for fresh and delicious food products.
Walmart supports its associates with a wide range of benefits designed to promote well-being, job satisfaction, and career development. Health benefits include coverage for medical, vision, and dental care. Financial benefits comprise a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off (PTO) offerings include parental leave, family care leave, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, and time off for voting activities. The company also provides short-term and long-term disability insurance, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and other valuable perks.
Additionally, Walmart offers a unique education benefit program called Live Better U, accessible to both full-time and part-time associates. This program covers tuition, books, and fees for a variety of educational paths, from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Eligibility for benefits depends on job classification and length of employment, subject to specific plan terms and changes over time.
Walmart is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace with a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal drug and alcohol use during work hours. This policy supports a productive and safe environment for all team members and shoppers alike. Joining Walmart’s dedicated team at Supercenter #3226 means becoming part of a community that values quality service, employee growth, and community engagement.
