In the role of a Deli Shift Leader within Pilot Company, individuals are entrusted with the responsibility to oversee and supervise team members working in the hot deli area of the travel centers. This position plays a crucial role in upholding the company’s high standards for quality and customer service. Deli Shift Leaders assist the Deli Manager by ensuring that all food items served in the hot deli section are fresh, delicious, and prepared in adherence to strict food safety standards. They also maintain cleanliness and organization, keeping the deli well stocked and inviting for guests. This job requires not only leadership skills but also the ability to provide excellent guest service that aligns with Pilot Company’s customer-focused culture. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the food service sector, basic knowledge of food safety regulations, and the capability to lead and motivate a team effectively. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $21.41 to $31.40 per hour, reflecting the importance of experience and performance. Job Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards
  • experience in the food service industry
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar position, especially with a restaurant or foodservice background
  • incredible customer service skills and the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • ability to maintain equipment according to food safety standards
  • ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise team members in the hot deli area
