The role of a Deli Shift Leader at Pilot Company is integral to maintaining the high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction throughout the hot deli area of their travel centers. As a Deli Shift Leader, you will oversee team members working in the deli, ensuring that all food safety standards are rigorously followed and that the product served is fresh and appealing. Team supervision and guest service excellence are the central components of this leadership role that requires not only operational skills but also a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will assist the Deli Manager by managing the workflow and keeping the area clean and well-stocked, which directly impacts the reputation of the travel center and the satisfaction of its guests.

This position offers a competitive starting pay range between $13.44 and $19.49 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for candidates with previous experience in foodservice management or a similar role. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar position, especially with a restaurant or foodservice background
  • incredible customer service skills and the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • ability to maintain equipment according to food safety standards
  • ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
