This position is for a Deli Shift Leader, who plays a pivotal role in managing the hot deli area of these high-traffic travel centers. The Deli Shift Leader is responsible for supervising team members, guaranteeing that the food served is not only fresh but also complies with stringent safety and cleanliness standards. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or restaurant environment
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership capability
  • ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a similar position especially with a restaurant or foodservice background
  • incredible customer service skills and the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • ability to maintain equipment according to food safety standards
  • ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members customers vendors and corporate representatives
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights days weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • supervise team members in the hot deli area
  • assist the deli manager in ensuring food freshness and quality
  • maintain cleanliness and stocking of the deli area
  • provide excellent guest service
  • enforce food safety and hygiene standards
  • support teamwork among deli staff
  • handle scheduling and shift coordination as needed
